Bonjour Sylvia,

Ciao, Paulette Gall

Dear Mr. Andrea Salmaso,

I and my friends, Robert and Pamela Murphy, recently stayed at your hotel from June 9 to June 14, 2016. We wanted to express our gratitude and appreciation for all of the fine service that we received during our visit. The reception staff was superb. We would like to especially mention Alessandro, Stefano, Mario, Massimo and Jury. Whenever we had questions or requests the staff was tremendously gracious with their smiles and helpful information.

We unexpectedly experienced an Air France strike and had to extend our visit. The staff eased the uncertainty of the situation by continuing our room reservations, patching through calls to Air France (we did not have international phone service) and arranging 4:30am water taxi services. As you can imagine this was a very stressful situation but the reception staff ensured that our extended stay was as pleasant as possible!

In addition, the housekeeping services kept our rooms highly clean and very comfortable. Thank you for providing a fine morning supplement and a bar that was very fun to frequent! This was my second stay at your hotel. Given the exceptional service I plan to reserve rooms with you whenever I am back in Venice! My friends are in agreement and have echoed these praises.

I am sure that you will acknowledge your hard working hospitality staff. They truly epitomized international hospitality. Thank you and them again for a wonderful visit.

We spent one night at Hotel Ala in two rooms with my family of 6. From check in to check out the front desk staff was so helpful, kind and welcoming. The location of this hotel is amazing. Just a stones throw from the ferry stop (easy access with all of our luggage) and short walk to San Marco and a host of great shops, cafes and restaurants. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful!

Just stayed at this hotel for two nights, I can honestly say it was brilliant, the rooms were lovely and the balcony was fantastic with wonderful views, it was so clean the reception and bar area was lovely very friendly and helpful staff nothing was a bother, it was an eight min walk to St Marco square and two mins to the water taxi that took you straight to the airport,
Consiglio sulle camere: There was three of us and the room we got was huge

FANTASTICO - Rated *****

Abbiamo voluto stare vicino a Piazza San Marco e c'erano 4 coppie.

The Hotel was exactly as depicted in the description, and also in the photos. The location was perfect , as it was a 2 minute walk from Santa Maria del Giglio.. so as a solo traveller , finding the hotel was stress free. My room hold a small balcony that looked down over the small canal. Was often serenaded by the passing Gondoliers .. The buffet breakfast was plentiful, ranging from sausages and eggs , thru to cold meats , pancakes etc. Would highly recommend this hotel to any future travellers.

4 of us stayed at the Ala in late Apr 2016. They were friendly, accommodating and eager to assist us make the most of our little-more than 24 hours in Venice. They offered us a complimentary trip to Murano via private water taxi, where some of us fell in love with Murano glass, all over again. Breakfast was complimentary, and the coffee and pastries were delish! I can hardly wait to be able to go back to Venice, and spend a few extra days at the Ala.

GREAT HOTEL! Rated *****

June 2016

I stayed here with friends my first time in Venice. It is a comfortable hotel in a very easy and convenient location. Very close to the major sights and a Vaporetto stop- great that we did not have to cart our bags around too far. Room was clean and comfortable as well. Hotel staff was a little unfriendly, but that seems to be typical of most venetians. I think they must get annoyed with all of the tourists- Venice is overflowing with tourists from cruise ships.

June 2016

Our family of six stayed here for several days at the end of May and we loved this hotel. It's very convenient to get to from the train station and is very centrally located to many tourist sites. There is a nice square with some restaurants and shops just outside the main entrance. Our rooms opened onto the small canal on the side of the hotel and each evening we would be serenaded by singing gondolas. It was very picturesque and lovely. The hotel also offers free rides to Murano to see the glass blowers. Aside from spotty wifi all over Venice, this hotel was top notch.

This hotel certainly ticks all the boxes. Our room(314) overlooked the Square. The room was large, very well appointed and spotless. The breakfast was very good by Italian standards, with lots of fresh fruit, it even had a make it yourself waffle machine. Close to St Marks and the local water bus stop it is ideally located. We will use this hotel again on our next visit.

We stayed here as a couple visiting Venice for a long weekend. We flew in and took the alilaguna (orange) line to the stop of S. Maria del Giglio. When you get off the waterbus you just walk straight into a narrow passage way. And as soon as you get to the square at the end of this alleyway the hotel is instantly on your left hand side.

The location is amazing, everything you want to visit is just in a few minutes walking distance.

The hotel is neat and we had a room at the back side of the hotel. When i opened the window of our room, we had a small canal and the gondola's including the singing would pass by right under our room.
Room was not spacious but clean, and a decent firm mattress. Breakfast in the hotel is pretty good for Italian standards.

If however you decide, to have breakfast outside the hotel. When you walk out the front door take a left, cross the canal with the right hand side, double stair cases. Keep walking straight ahead, and after the 2nd canal, directly on the right hand side, you will have a small breakfast/lunch espresso bar. Amazing coffee and food.

If you walking straight you will get to a small quare, keep going straight, untill you get on a bigger square. Then on the right hand side, you will pass a restaurant called Le Café. Best restaurant i've visited in Venice. And you can't leave without having a home made pastry with your coffee at the end of your dinner ;)
